How does Gemini recognise my brand as a distinct entity?

By finding the same name, category, and attributes stated consistently across your site and corroborated elsewhere.

Entity recognition is a matching problem. The system is trying to decide whether "Acme" on your site is the same "Acme" mentioned elsewhere, and whether it is distinct from similarly named products.

Consistency is what resolves it. Use the same brand string everywhere — not "Acme", "Acme App", and "AcmeHQ" interchangeably. Pair the name with the category in the same sentence wherever possible.

Organization schema with a stable URL, plus links to official profiles you control, gives the system anchor points to tie together.

If your name collides with something better known, lean harder on the category pairing. "Acme, the invoicing tool for freelancers" disambiguates in a way "Acme" alone never will.
